Yes, the Manolo he considered the sailor joke, however the superfluity of faded denim, and the neighborly wave, they convinced the Manolo to go for the farmer gag.
The Annalucia must admit that she likes the blue-and-white striped tee; in fact it looks just like the ones her seven-year-old son wears. She was not aware that the Hanna Andersson sold them in adult sizes as well; perhaps she had better take another look at the catalog.
Annalucia, thanks for the “Hanna Andersson” reference. I’m always looking for fun, cheapish clothes for my niece (7 years old) and nephew (6). Girls are so much fun to shop for!
But, why are most (American) boy’s clothes so blah and Sports or Preppie or Army Man themed?
Desertwind, the Hanna Andersson clothes are far from cheap – but they are sturdy and well-made and, in the opinion of the Annalucia, well worth the price.
And upon taking a second look at the picture of Ralph Lauren, she suspects that the clothes are not only well-worn but that the Ralph slept in them before wearing them in public. Does one measure success in the fashion world by how in-your-face one behaves before the customers?
Zippy thinks he may have just gotten in from who knows where and not had time to change. Otherwise I can not think of any other reason to be costumed in such a manner.
Uhmmm, looks like he got kicked of the HMS RagingQueen of Saturday Night Live fame. Just too unmanly for all of the manly men of the good ship, who took their punsiment like men. He looks like he may have giggled a bit during the lashing.

Farmer chic? Looks more like French sailor chic with paperbag-waisted wide denim…weird.

Too funny. My dad and grandfather used to farm right outside of Yankton. Their clothes always looked spiffier than that though.

This reminds me of that Rodney Dangerfield movie where his bowling shirt, etc. wardrobe was shown on the runway as a joke and became high fashion.

Annalucia, Hanna Andersson does sell adult clothes! You can coordinate with your son and with Ralph.

New York is where I’d rather stay.

Dubya’s mom is looking rather trim in spite of the unfortunate horizontal stripes that make her look like a short man.

I was startled to see the reference to South Dakota, more specifically Yankton. Does the Manolo somehow know the area well?

Be more like, Ahoy, neighbor… he’s got this cabin boy thing going, too.

Is there some sort of secret fashion designer rule: the more famous the name, the worse they must dress for their end of show appearance?
Why, oh why, should I rely on the Cracker Jack boy (very apt notsmartenough) to advise me on my personal apparel?
