Actually, if you’d seen Charlotte Church presenting Have I Got News For You you’d realise she’s actually quite smart and witty. I think she’s doing the drunken tart thing to appeal to the lowest common denominator, who only thought of her as “the voice of an angel”.

apparently some people need pictures drawn for them to understand simple things, such as: 1) the manolo was only making a wee joke at the expense of Charlotte, 2) he was not slandering the British while ignoring our own freak parade, and 3) anyone will sound like an overrated hack when one has one’s head up one’s posterior. And 4) Everyone, chill out!

to Liz II - Charlotte Church presenting on Have I got News for You proved she has wit? Give over! All it proved is that she can READ (the witty comments are scripted and via autocue).. and even for THAT she had to lean forward to concentrate.
